About Mrs. TaylorFive years after graduating high school, I attended NorthWest Arkansas
Community College where I received an Associate of Science degree before
transferring to the University of Arkansas. I have a Bachelor of Arts in
Mathematics degree and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree. During my
MAT year, I interned at Holt Middle School, Woodland Junior High, and
Fayetteville High School. I planned lessons, taught, and recorded grades for
6th grade algebra introduction, 9th grade Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra
II, 11th grade Algebra II, and 10th/11th/12th grades Advanced Algebra with
Trigonometry.
My husband, Trevor, and I have two boys, Kennison and Kurtis. We enjoy 4-wheeling, dirt bikes, painting, and reading. My family is extremely
important to me.
I have truly enjoyed my time teaching at Farmington as it has
allowed me to grow and learn as a person and as a teacher. My students are
very important to me. I have high expectations of my students, just as I do
of my own boys. I believe that everyone can do more than they think. It is
just a matter of putting forth effort and time. I want my students to have
faith in themselves as I have faith in them and their abilities. I look
forward to another great year of teaching at Farmington :)
Mission Statement To provide students with the foundation for future mathematics requirements,
which will enable them to succeed in their future academics and in life. I
want my students to learn to think for themselves and to realize that, with
effort and hard work, they can accomplish more than they believe. I want
students to feel respected and comfortable to ask any question regarding each
day's lesson. I am privileged to teach your student and look forward to having
the opportunity to enrich your student's life.
